ARCH GRANTS CONNECTIONS

CONNECTIONS
ARCH GRANTS MENTOR INITIATIVE
Connections is an internal entrepreneur mentorship program, which connects a new Arch Grant recipient with a recent alumnus of the program. Alumni will guide the new entrepreneurs, giving them advice on housing, work spaces, and the St. Louis community. While Arch Grants staff also provide guidance, we have found it is helpful for entrepreneurs to meet and gain the perspective of someone who has recently gone through the program.
After Arch Grants pairs the two start up teams, they have the freedom to decide what that mentorship will look like. It can range from a couple of coffee chats to sharing a coworking space, to collaborating on projects.
The goal of the Connections program is to ensure the entrepreneurs we fund feel welcome and supported throughout their journey. It also allows more established entrepreneurs to meet the newest startup teams and gain from sharing different perspectives. Connections is one small way the Arch Grants community works to support each another.
The Arch Grants Mentor Initiative partners Arch Grant entrepreneurs with established business leaders in the St. Louis community. We strongly encourage our investors and supporters to join the initiative by becoming mentors. However, the program is also open to qualified individuals in the St. Louis community, regardless of prior support.
The program allows investors and other leaders in the St. Louis community to actually meet the diverse cohort of entrepreneurs and hear their perspectives. It helps forge connections, and allows mentors to play a more active role in entrepreneurs' success.
Studies show that startup teams with strong mentors see higher rates of success. If you would like to be considered for the Mentor Initiative, fill out this survey.

ADDITIONAL MENTORSHIP
The mentor programs above are designed to foster strong relationships within the Arch Grants community. Arch Grants also partners with outside organizations to provide guidance and support to our entrepreneurs. These partners also offer mentorship, classes on how to succeed in the start up community, and work groups so entrepreneurs can share ideas and perspectives with others. Several of these organizations provide resources for entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds. Arch Grants is committed to providing support for all grant recipients.
For a full list of mentorship partners, see Entrepreneur Resources.
